Coming to the end of SciChats 1.0…

shaneOn May 20th I had the opportunity to sit in on SciChats #7 at our partner classroom at Del Mar Hills Academy. I got to meet Shane (that handsome guy up there)- the classroom’s pet bearded lizard. I also got to see how SciChats works from the other side. It was inspiring and fun to see Natalie and the kids getting to know each other, and I came away with some new ideas of how to improve our systems for future iterations of SciChats.

Which brings me to this: SciChats 1.0 is complete! We were originally going to have a final SciChat with April Goebl, but we couldn’t make it work with Memorial Day weekend. Hopefully April will be able to participate next semester.

Now that we’ve finished the series, it’s time to (1) celebrate and THANK ALL OF YOU for your contributions, (2) assess how this past semester went, and (3) decide on a plan of action for improving and building the program. More on these goals soon!
